This school is excellent. I have been to several education facilities in the Tucson area and I have been so impressed with all aspects of GEA. There are actively engaged parents, attentive administrators, and caring educators. This, coupled with a relatively small class size, allows for an excellent educational experience for students as well as a great place of employment for teachers. There is a lot of freedom for people to find their groove that simply isn’t afforded anywhere else. GEA bleeds empathy (and gecko blood) for all involved – try and find that at a bigger school (you won’t).
Our Mission
Great Expectations Academy is dedicated to the preparation of students to become competent, literate, productive citizens. It is a learning community of students and adults who value collegiality, trust and confidence, caring, humor and open communication. This mission will be accomplished through individualized, accelerated learning, with high expectations for all.
Tax Credit
A tax credit allows you to direct where your tax money is spent. Arizona taxpayers can make up to a $400 contribution to Great Expectations Academy to support extracurricular activities. Married couples filing jointly may make a $400 contribution and individual taxpayers can donate up to $200. Arizona Tax Law allows taxpayers a tax credit on their Arizona Tax Return when they make a donation to help a local school. Your donation may also qualify as a charitable contribution on your Federal Tax form. You need not have a child at Great Expectations Academy to support our efforts. Keep your tax dollars in our own community and support our children. Tax credit donations may be mailed to or dropped off at the school through April 15 for the 2015 tax year.
