Welcome to GEA

Welcome to Great Expectations Academy! We are a tuition free K-8 public charter school located in Sahuarita, Arizona. GEA opened its doors to students in 1999, and since then we have strived to offer quality education with a strong focus on literacy and the arts. We offer small class sizes for a more learning-friendly atmosphere, and strong parent involvement and support.   We are also home to award-winning bands, performing arts and full music program, and special education programs.

Budget Information

To view the FY26 Proposed/Approved Budget, click here and follow these steps:

  1. Confirm the Fiscal Year shown is 2026.
  2. Type Great Expectations Academy in the EdOrg Name box, then click Update Submission Status Details.
  3. When the result comes up click on the Submission Reference # (6 digit number in blue) and the budget will be downloaded.
  4. If you don’t have Excel you can upload the file to  Google Drive and open with Sheets.

In accordance with A.R.S. §15-189.05, as added by Laws 2018, Ch. 285, §3, a school’s budget shall include the prominent display of the average salary of all teachers employed by the school for the budget and prior years, and the increase in the average salary of all teachers employed by the school for the budget year reported in dollars and percentage. Schools must also prominently post this information on their website home page separately from its budget.
