Admissions Process
Applications for Enrollment are accepted at any time; placement is on a space available basis after each year’s Open Enrollment Lottery (held on the second Thursday in March). Pursuant to Arizona State Law, charter schools may not retain a waiting list from one year to the next but must open enrollment to the public (if space is available) on an annual basis.

Open Enrollment
Great Expectations Academy holds an Open Enrollment Lottery every March in the week prior to Spring Break between 3:00 and 5:30 pm in the school office. Each applicant receives a lottery number and numbers are drawn after 6:00 pm for placement in the following year’s classes as well as the waiting list in the event the class fills to capacity (maximum 22 students). Applications received after that date will be added to the waiting list on a first come, first served basis. As openings arise the next applicant on the waiting list will be contacted and offered the opportunity to enroll. Please bring the following items on the day of Open Enrollment:
- Proof of the student’s identity and age (Birth Certificate, Baptismal Certificate, Application for Social Security Number, or original school registration records and an affidavit explaining the inability to provide a copy of the birth certificate.)
- Proof of Arizona Residence
